Valentine’s Day is coming up and Zo and Co need to figure out their outfits for their greeting card.  So heart shaped hats might be cute.

The materials:

• pink satin
• red and pink heart cotton
• snaps
• double sided interfacing

Made a pattern out of an existing hat and cut out 2 pieces.

Stitches around the edges.

Sewed the curved section together.

Traced a heart shape.

Cut 2 heart pieces, sewed together, and turned inside out.

Added some double sided interfacing in the heart.

Sewed heart to top of hood and added a snap on the chin strap.

Made another one with the red fabric.

Elongated the chin strap so it can fit Coco’s poofiness.

Added the pink heart which is a bit smaller.

It would have been better to use 2 single sided pieces of interfacing instead of 1 double sided piece.   The heart is a little too floppy.

Dresses with hats were a bit much.
