Coffee chocolate caramel chip cookies

These were part of the dogs’ Auntie A’s snack pouch.

Ingredients:

  • 8.5 oz all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 stick unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp somewhat heaping instant coffee
  • 2 tbsp hot water
  • 5 oz dark brown sugar
  • 4 oz granulated sugar
  •  1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 5 oz chocolate chips
  • 2 oz caramel chips

Dissolved coffee in hot water in a large bowl.   Placed bowl in freezer to let it cool.

Browned 1 stick of butter.

Poured browned butter and remaining 1/4 stick of butter in bowl with the dissolved coffee.

Mixed both sugars with coffee / butter.

Mixed in egg, salt, and vanilla.

Stirred in flour, baking soda, and flour.

Added caramel and chocolate chips.

Wrapped in plastic and let rest overnight.

Formed in 18 gram balls.

Baked for 8 minutes at 350.

They  could have used a few more caramel chips.   More like a 3 oz next time.

But they turned up really good.
