Spring planting

A third of June has already passed so it seems rather late in the season but finally bought some plants today.

The cement patio is relatively new – previously was a (very) sloped grassy patch.  So no more raised beds; strictly containers.

The plants:

  • Curly parsley
  • Chives
  • Basil
  • Ghost pepper – the dogs’ dad is a fan.
  • Husky cherry red tomatoes – pretty intrigued by these.  They are supposed to be ideal for containers because they are compact and don’t spread too much.  Didn’t buy tomato cages but may need to depending on how much they grow.

Zo was quite curious.

The containers:

Had these pots for years so they look a bit beaten up.

Did not buy enough potting soil so will need to pick more up this week.

While planting met this super cute Rottweiler puppy.

She is such a sweetheart.

Looks like it is going to storm later this afternoon so didn’t water too much.
