Coco’s apricot curly fur sometimes resembles Marilyn Monroe’s blonde locks.  So decided she needs something similar to the iconic white dress in The Seven Year Itch,

 

The plan:

The material:

Half a yard of a white silky material.   A thin ball point needle worked well with this fabric but it frayed like crazy.   The waist was closed with Velcro.

There was no pattern.

• The 2 pieces for the halter are 5” by 9” rectangles.
• The waist band is 18” by 4” .
• The skirt is 2 pieces of fabric 18” by 4”.
• The straps are 14” by 2”.

The tops and bottoms of the 2 halter pieces were gathered.  The top was about 1”,  the bottom, 2.5”.

Sewed the bottom to the waist band.

Made knife pleats with the 2 pieces of fabric for the skirt.

Sewed the the skirt to the waist.

Added Velcro to close the skirt.
